For more than a quarter-century, Islamic Relief USA has been helping children in need through a wide variety of projects, including educational programs, water and sanitation, and health and nutrition services, and orphan support. Every year, hundreds of thousands of children benefit from Islamic Relief USA’s programs and campaigns.
Junaid Jamshed
Junaid Jamshed is a Pakistani recording artist who gained fame as the frontman of the pop group, Vital Signs in 1987 with the hit song, “Dil Dil Pakistan”, and remained in demand throughout the 1990s. In 1994, he released his debut solo album, Junaid of Vital Signs, which also quickly became a national hit, followed by Us Rah Par in 1999 and Dil Ki Baat in 2000
Since then, he has focused on Islam and concentrated on reciting nasheeds. His debut religious album, Jalwa-e-Janan was released in 2005 and was followed by Mehboob-e-Yazdaan in 2006, Badr-ud-Duja in 2008, and Badee-uz-Zaman in 2009. He also runs a boutique with the name “J.”, read as “Jay Dot”, which has several outlets all over Pakistan.
Native Deen
The story of Native Deen is an inspiring one that began with three Muslim youth possessing unique talents and a passion to spread the uplifting message of Islam. Originally solo artists and active participants of their communities searching for creative ways to educate and inspire Muslim youth, today Native Deen has become a fusion of Hip-hop and R&B flavors, thrilling fans with their eclectic and unique combinations of lyrics, rhythms and sounds. The trio made up of Joshua Salaam, Abdul-Malik Ahmad and Naeem Muhammad came together in 2000 and has embarked upon a professional career in the music industry together in order to highlight issues confronting Muslims living in America.
These three young African-American men who were raised as Muslims in America have emerged as one of the leading Islamic Nasheed groups and have inspired an international fan base. Drawing their own inspiration from the message of Islam, Native Deen’s music calls listeners to keep the faith, to live better lives, and not to succumb to the pressures and temptations of modern society.
Mohammed “Mo” Amer
Best known as one-third of the Muslim comedy show, Allah Made Me Funny, Mohammed “Mo” Amer has been entertaining audiences worldwide with his unique brand of humor, which transcends cultural boundaries and helps bridge the divide between the Muslim and non-Muslim world.
Maher Zain

Multi-platinum singer, songwriter and producer Maher Zain is a star of the modern Islamic music scene. His meaningful songs aim to inspire and entertain, while sending a message of peace and hope to audiences all throughout the world. Maher Zain’s songs mix the sounds of R&B with traditional spiritual, soul and contemporary music. Maher’s debut album, “Thank You Allah,” made him an instant hit among millions of people across the world.
In March 2011, Maher Zain became the first Arab singer to reach two million fans on Facebook in less than a year-and-a-half of the release of his debut album. He has now surpassed three million Facebook fans in just two years.
In April 2012,Maher Zain’s second album “Forgive Me” was released. The album is a dynamic andmodern mix of East & West and is expected to surpass the success of the debut album and captivate the senses of the audiences worldwide.
Preacher Moss
Comedian and writer Preacher Moss is acclaimed for his comedy show, “Allah Made Me Funny”—his performance has taken him across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and North America.
“Preach,” as he is known, is the former writer for “Saturday Night Live” legends, including Damon Wayans and Darrell Hammond. His personal comedic stylings are known for their relevances to the every day, and for their glimpses into reality through the avenue of humor. Viewed as a man of the people writing for the people, Preach’s words carry more than just laughter—they carry life.
Irfan Makki
Nasheed artist and songwriterIrfan Makki’s songs offer up vibrant imagery with the innocence of a child-likeobserver and the wisdom of an elderly man, blended with world beat percussion,South Asian rhythms and a distinctive urban R&B vocal style. A sensitivesongwriter with a humble stage presence, Irfan has performed all over the UK, US, and Canada, sharing the stage with such artists and friends such as Dawud Wharnsby Ali, Zain Bikha, 786, and the USbased hip hop group Native Deen.
Irfan recorded his first solo CD in 1997 “Reminisce”. In 1999 he was featuredin the CD compilation “Light Upon Light”. His two songs “Light Upon Light”, and“When the Leaves Begin To Fall”, were met with high acclaim and were becomingthe favourites of Nasheed listeners all over the world, especially in the U.K.and U.S. He released his second solo CD “Salam” in 2003. This was met withgreat anticipation and soon led Irfan to tour all over the UK and US.
