Minnesota Star Tribune‘s Bob Von Sternberg reports on the ninth annual Day of Dignity campaign held at Masjid Al-Nur in north Minneapolis.
During the ninth annual Day of Dignity campaign, held in the shadow of the Masjid An-Nur mosque in north Minneapolis, food, clothing, books, toys and medical checkups were distributed to scores of people who turned out at the intersection of Lyndale and Broadway avenues.
Similar celebrations, sponsored by Islamic Relief USA, also were held in 14 other American cities on Saturday.
